Obituary of Frederick Mesirov

Frederick "Fred" Lee Mesirov Fred died with his family by his side on 5/17/2020 at the age of 88. Fred is survived by his wife Lyn; children, Karen Kerper and Shari Knapstad, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Anne and Sol Mesirov. Fred was born on February 21, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Anne and Sol. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Accounting. He married the love of his life, Lyn, in 1956. Shortly after marrying they welcomed 2 lovely daughters Karen and Shari. Fred’s daughters and grandchildren remember him as a loving, courageous and intelligent father and grandfather. Fred enjoyed playing basketball at a young age and later in life, he took up golfing. He was a charismatic and witty individual who loved being surrounded by family and friends. He was fascinated by technology and appreciated a good debate.
